Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
Sweep is a photo-cleaning app for iPhone made by Artem Kurtiak (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with your data.
The short version: Sweep runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos or any personal information. There is no account, no server, and no analytics.
Photos and videos
Sweep asks for access to your photo library because reviewing your photos is the app’s only function. Your photos and videos are read directly from your device in order to display them to you and to calculate their file sizes. They are never uploaded, copied off your device, analysed on a server, or shared with anyone.
When you delete photos through Sweep, the deletion is carried out by your device’s own Photos system. Your operating system shows its own confirmation dialog before anything is removed, and moves deleted items to Recently Deleted according to its own rules — approximately 30 days on iOS.
You can revoke photo access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Sweep. The app cannot function without it.
Information stored on your device
To remember your progress, Sweep stores the following on your device only:
- which photos you have marked to keep or to toss, stored as your device’s own photo identifiers rather than the images themselves;
- file sizes it has measured, so the “space freed” figure is accurate;
- counters such as total swipes, items deleted, and space freed;
- whether you have completed onboarding, and your daily free-swipe count.
None of this is transmitted anywhere. All of it is removed when you delete the app.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, or advertising identifiers. Sweep contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers. The app makes no network requests of its own.
Purchases
Sweep Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Payments are processed by Apple; we never see or receive your payment details.
To verify a purchase and let you restore it on another device, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, app-generated identifier and your App Store purchase receipt. It does not receive your photos or any personal information about you. RevenueCat’s privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
Support email
If you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Your rights
Because Sweep collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. If you are in the EU, the UK, or California and believe otherwise, write to us at the address below and we will respond.
Children
Sweep is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from children — it does not collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date. Because the app collects no data, changes are expected to be rare and minor.
