Sweep

Terms of Use

Last updated: 3 September 2026

By downloading or using Sweep (“the app”), made by Artem Kurtiak (“we”, “us”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Sweep does

Sweep helps you review the photos and videos already on your device and delete the ones you choose. It shows them one at a time; you swipe right to keep or left to toss. Nothing is deleted while you swipe — items you toss wait in the Review screen until you confirm them.

Every deletion is confirmed by you through your operating system’s own dialog. You are responsible for the photos you choose to delete.

On iOS, deleted items are moved to Recently Deleted for approximately 30 days before your device removes them permanently. We strongly recommend having a backup, for example iCloud Photos, before a large clean-up.

Space-freed figures are estimates

Sweep shows how much storage a deletion will free. Where the exact size of a file on disk cannot be read quickly, the app estimates it from the image’s dimensions and marks the number as approximate with a “~”. Actual space recovered by your device may differ, and on iOS the space is not returned until Recently Deleted is emptied.

Free use and Sweep Pro

The app is free to use with a limit of 50 swipes per day. Sweep Pro removes that limit and is available as:

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription before the trial ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies — we cannot issue them ourselves.

You can restore a previous purchase on a new device with the Restore purchases button in the app’s Settings.

Acceptable use

You may use the app for your own personal purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app, or use it in any way that breaks the law.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data or photos, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including photos you chose to delete. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted at this address with its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
