Sweep

Terms of Use

Last updated: 24 September 2026

By downloading or using Sweep (“the app”), made by Artem Kurtiak (“we”, “us”), an individual based in Ukraine, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Sweep does

Sweep helps you review photos and videos already on your iPhone and delete the ones you choose. Items you toss wait in Review until you confirm. Every deletion uses Apple’s own Photos confirmation dialog. You are responsible for what you delete.

Deleted items usually move to Recently Deleted for about 30 days. Keep a backup (for example iCloud Photos) before a large clean-up.

Accounts

An account is optional. You can use Sweep as a guest, and you may create a free account with Apple, Google, or email to raise your free swipe allowance and to keep Sweep Pro if you change phones. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity on your account.

You must be at least 13 to use Sweep and to create an account, or older if your country sets a higher age for consenting to online services. If you are under 18, use Sweep only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it removes your Sweep login and the account records attached to it, but not the photos stored by iOS on your device, and not the free-swipe allowance counted against your device. Deleting your account does not cancel a Sweep Pro subscription, which is billed by Apple.

Space-freed figures

Sweep shows how much storage a deletion may free. Where an exact on-disk size is not available quickly, the app may estimate and mark the figure with “~”. Actual free space can differ, and on iOS space often returns only after Recently Deleted is emptied.

Free use and Sweep Pro

Free use includes a lifetime allowance of 30 swipes as a guest, rising to 60 swipes in total once you create a free account. These are lifetime totals, not daily ones, and they do not reset.

The allowance is counted against both your account and the device you use, so signing out, deleting your account, or reinstalling the app does not issue a new allowance. Sweep Pro removes the limit and is available as:

The yearly plan runs for 12 months and the monthly plan for 1 month. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and vary by store region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. The lifetime option is a single purchase that does not renew and has nothing to cancel.

Unused free-trial time is forfeited if you buy before the trial ends. Refunds are handled by Apple. Sweep Pro is tied to the Apple Account that bought it, so you can restore it with Restore purchases using that same account, with or without a Sweep account.

Occasional promo codes may unlock Pro without a store charge; codes are personal, revocable, and may not be sold or shared publicly.

Acceptable use

Use Sweep for your own personal purposes. Do not reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app, abuse sign-in or promo systems, or break the law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Sweep at any time by deleting the app, and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — for example by abusing sign-in, quota or promo systems — and may revoke a promo unlock obtained that way. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why first. If we close your account for a reason other than a breach by you, and you hold an unexpired paid subscription, you may request a refund for the unused period through Apple.

Changes to Sweep, and discontinuation

We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering Sweep altogether — for example if it is no longer viable to maintain, or if changes to iOS make it unworkable. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not of the buyer: it is a one-off payment for unlimited use of Sweep for as long as we offer it, with no recurring charge. It is not a promise of perpetual updates or of continued App Store availability.

If we discontinue Sweep, we will give at least 30 days’ notice on this website where we reasonably can, the installed app will keep working on your device for as long as iOS supports it, and we will offer a pro-rata refund of any unexpired subscription period. If you bought lifetime access within the 12 months before we announce discontinuation, you may ask us for a refund and we will arrange it through Apple.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we give no warranties, express or implied, that Sweep will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its storage figures will be exact.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of photos, videos or other data, for loss of profit or opportunity, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app — including items you chose to delete. Deletion is carried out by iOS after Apple’s own confirmation, and you decide what to delete; keep a backup before a large clean-up.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Sweep in the 12 months before the claim, or the equivalent of 50 euros.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights — including rights relating to digital content that is not of satisfactory quality or as described — are unaffected.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of Sweep, are governed by the laws of Ukraine, and the courts of Ukraine have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom or the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-law rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A delay in enforcing them is not a waiver. Together with the Privacy Policy and Apple’s EULA, they are the whole agreement between us. You may not transfer your rights under them; we may transfer ours if Sweep changes hands, without reducing your rights.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is posted here with its date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: apple.com/legal/…/stdeula. Where these terms conflict with that agreement in respect of your licence to use the app, Apple’s EULA prevails. Apple is not a party to these terms, has no obligation to provide support for Sweep, and is not responsible for it; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
