Where did my deleted photos go?

They’re in Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted. iOS keeps them about 30 days. Storage often does not free until you empty that album.

I deleted something by mistake

Within about 30 days: Photos → Recently Deleted → Recover.

Inside Sweep, tossed items stay in Review until you confirm a delete. You can mark them to keep again before confirming.

I swiped the wrong way

Tap Undo in the deck — the arrow to the left of the Toss and Keep buttons. It brings the card back and, if you had tossed it, takes it back out of Review. You can keep tapping it to walk back through the whole session, and it is also on the screen you see when a month is finished.

I kept a photo I meant to delete

Kept photos leave the deck, so if you notice later, open Sweep → Settings → Reset kept photos. Everything you kept comes back for another pass. Nothing is deleted by this, and anything already waiting in Review is left alone.

Why does the freed-space number sometimes show “~”?

That means the size is estimated (for example while a file is still only in iCloud). Exact sizes update when Sweep can read them on disk.

Why does Sweep need photo access?

So it can show your library and delete what you choose. Photos are not uploaded. See the Privacy Policy.

Do I need an account?

No. Sweep works as a guest with 30 free swipes. A free account raises that to 60 in total and keeps Sweep Pro if you change phones. You can also buy Pro without an account — it is tied to your Apple Account. Either way your photos stay on the phone.

I’ve used my free swipes

Guests get 30 swipes in total and free accounts 60 in total — lifetime figures, not per day. Sweep Pro removes the limit: yearly, monthly, or lifetime.

The count follows both your account and your device, so signing out or reinstalling will not reset it.

I bought Pro but it’s not showing

Tap Restore purchases — it is in Settings and on the upgrade screen. You need to be signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. This works with or without a Sweep account. If it still fails, email us with the purchase date.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Sweep → Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel billing. Refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com

How do I delete my Sweep account?

Open Sweep → Settings → Delete account and confirm. It happens immediately — there is nothing to wait for and nobody to email.

Your photos on the iPhone are not removed by this. Your free-swipe count belongs to the device, so a new account on the same phone carries on from where the old one stopped. And Sweep Pro is billed by Apple, so cancel it separately in App Store settings if you want charges to stop — if you bought it, it stays on your Apple Account and Restore purchases brings it back.

The app is slow on a huge library

First load reads library metadata. Very large libraries can take a few seconds. Pull down on Home to refresh.
